What is a Colonoscopy?

A colonoscopy is a medical examination procedure that allows doctors to view the entire inner lining of your large intestine (colon) and rectum using a flexible tube called a colonoscope.

Preparation

The Day Before

Day of Procedure

• Fast for 2-3 hours before

After the Procedure

Recovery

• 30-60 minutes in recovery area
• May experience mild cramping
