Introduction

This exercise program is designed to help improve shoulder strength, flexibility, and function. Always perform these exercises as prescribed by your healthcare provider.

Before You Begin

  • Warm up for 5-10 minutes
  • Stop if you experience increased pain
  • Use ice after exercises if needed
  • Maintain proper posture throughout

Exercise Program

1. Pendulum Exercise

  • Lean forward with support
  • Let affected arm hang freely
  • Make small circles (10-15 rotations)
  • Perform 3 sets, 2x daily

2. Wall Slides

  • Stand facing wall
  • Walk fingers up wall
  • Go as high as comfortable
  • Hold 10 seconds
  • 10 repetitions, 3x daily

3. External Rotation

  • Use resistance band
  • Keep elbow at side
  • Rotate arm outward
  • 3 sets of 10 repetitions

4. Internal Rotation

  • Same position as above
  • Rotate arm inward
  • Control movement
  • 3 sets of 10 repetitions

Progression Guidelines

  1. Start with easier exercises
  2. Increase repetitions before resistance
  3. Add resistance gradually
  4. Progress only when pain-free

Warning Signs

  • Increased pain lasting >1 hour
  • Swelling
  • Loss of motion
  • Night pain
