Overview

Disorders of consciousness (DOC) represent a group of conditions that affect a person's state of awareness of themselves and their environment. These conditions range from mild confusion to complete unresponsiveness.

Main Types

Minimally Conscious State (MCS)

  • Partial awareness of self and environment

Vegetative State (VS)
