7 Days Before Your Procedure

3 Days Before Your Procedure

  • Refrigerate if desired

Evening (6:00 PM)

  • Begin drinking bowel preparation solution
  • Drink 8 oz every 15-20 minutes until half complete

Day of Procedure

5 Hours Before

  • Complete second half of bowel preparation
  • Take morning medications with small sip of water

2 Hours Before

  • Nothing by mouth, including water
  • No smoking or chewing gum

Important Notes

  • Continue blood pressure and heart medications
  • Diabetic patients: Consult physician about insulin/medication adjustments
  • Bring medication list to procedure
  • Arrange transportation home
