Antifungal Medication Schedule and Instructions

Important Information

Follow this schedule carefully to ensure effective treatment of your fungal infection. Complete the entire course of medication even if symptoms improve.

Medication Schedule

Oral Medications

• Terbinafine (Lamisil®)

  • Take one 250mg tablet daily with food
  • Duration: 6-12 weeks for toenails; 6 weeks for fingernails
  • Time: Same time each day

• Itraconazole (Sporanox®)

  • Take two 100mg capsules twice daily
  • Duration: Pulse therapy - 1 week on, 3 weeks off
  • Repeat: 2-3 cycles as prescribed

Topical Medications

• Antifungal Cream/Ointment
  • Apply twice daily to affected areas
  • Clean and dry area before application
  • Use for full prescribed duration

Important Reminders

1. Take medication with food unless otherwise directed
2. Set phone reminders for consistent timing
3. Complete entire course of treatment
4. Store medications at room temperature
5. Report side effects to your dermatologist
